The Why Behind Selinno
We’re full-time working parents who know the struggle of missed deliveries all too well. Like many families, we shop online to save time and money—finding better deals, using discount codes, and getting what we need delivered straight to our door.
But that convenience often came with a catch.
We were constantly getting those dreaded “We Missed You” cards, asking us to pick up parcels during weekday hours—right when we were working. Taking time off just to collect a parcel became frustrating.
One day, our child’s passport was being delivered. We were both at work and couldn’t be there in time. We had to urgently ask the courier to leave it under the mat and rush home—just to make sure it was safe.
In our previous rental, we had a friendly neighbour and their adorable dog. But that little guy loved chewing on parcels left at our doorstep—another unexpected delivery drama!
We searched for a simple, secure solution, but the market had very few options. High-end parcel boxes were expensive and often couldn’t even fit something as basic as a Shein order.
That’s when we decided to build our own.
We took inspiration from countries like US, Canada, Dubai, Australia and designed a letterbox that’s functional, stylish, and made for real-life deliveries. It handles both letters and parcels with ease, features a secure locking mechanism, and fits seamlessly into the look of a modern home. In fact, we worked with an architect to redefine the design—because we believe the letterbox is the first thing people notice about your home. It should make a statement.
