Selinno Warranty Policy
We stand by the quality of our products and want you to have complete peace of mind when shopping with Selinno. Our warranty policy is designed to ensure you receive a product that meets your expectations and performs as intended.
Our Warranty Coverage
All Selinno products come with a 12-month warranty, except for letterboxes, which come with a 2-year structural warranty, from the date of purchase. This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship under normal use.
If your product develops a fault due to a manufacturing defect, we’ll repair, replace, or refund it at our discretion, free of charge. This warranty applies in addition to your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA).
What’s Covered?
- Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.
- Structural integrity issues that arise under normal usage conditions.
- Faults that prevent the product from functioning as advertised.
- Structural Warranty for Letterboxes: Covers defects that affect the integrity and usage of the letterbox. Cosmetic damage, such as powder coat finish, is not covered.
If a product issue falls within the warranty period and meets these criteria, we’ll take care of it!
What’s Not Covered?
While we design our products to be durable and reliable, certain situations are not covered under our warranty:
- Normal wear and tear, minor cosmetic imperfections, or surface scratches that do not impact functionality.
- Damage resulting from misuse, improper installation, accidents, neglect, or unauthorized modifications.
- Failure to adhere to the product’s assembly or care instructions.
- Issues arising from exposure to extreme weather conditions or environments beyond the product’s intended use.
- Products that have been altered, repaired, or modified by unauthorized individuals.
- Rusting on Letterboxes: Our powder-coated letterboxes are zinc-coated for added durability. However, if damage or modifications expose the surface to the elements, rusting may occur. Our structural warranty covers naturally occurring rusting, but not rust caused by damage or alterations.
- Stud Mount Numbers on Letterboxes: Drilling into a letterbox to install stud mount numbers exposes the surface to potential rusting. If stud mount numbers are installed against our recommendations, it will void the warranty for both the letterbox and the numbers.

How to Make a Warranty Claim
Please check all your products upon receiving and lodge a warranty claim within 24 hours of delivery if you notice any faults or damages from transit.
If you believe your product has a defect covered under our warranty, follow these simple steps:
- Contact Us – Email our team at [support email] with your order details, a brief description of the issue, and clear photos showing the problem.
- Assessment – Our team will review your claim and may ask for additional details to verify the issue.
- Resolution – If your claim is approved, we’ll arrange for a repair, replacement, or refund based on the nature of the defect.
Depending on the individual circumstance and product, if a fault occurs with a specific part that can be replaced, we reserve the right to provide a replacement for that part only. If the letterbox model is no longer available, we will work with you to find the most suitable and compatible alternative as a replacement.
For approved warranty claims, we’ll cover the cost of return shipping and replacement if required.
Your Rights Under the Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA)
This warranty is offered in addition to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA), which ensures you receive a product that is of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and matches its description. If a product is faulty or doesn’t meet these standards, you have the right to a repair, replacement, or refund under the CGA.
